The  40-page visitor booklet and room guide for Coleridge Cottage has now been printed and published by the National Trust. It is has been written and designed by Terence and Eliza Sackett.

Part written in narrative form, and part in imagined scenes in the characters' own voices, it tells the story of Coleridge’s time at Nether Stowey, and the growth of the poet’s relationship with Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy.

In the modest cottage in Lime Street, recently restored, Coleridge wrote some of his most famous poems, including The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Kubla Khan and Christabel. In just three short years he established perhaps the most momentous partnership in English poetry, collaborating with Wordsworth to write Lyrical Ballads, one of the foundation works of the Romantic movement.
